OPTIMAL PICTURE AND SOUNDBesides progressive computer display, lately DVDs are required to upscale properly on increasingly impresive home theater plasma and projection systems. A lot of interlaced DVDs produced in early 2000's just don't measure up. We are specialists in creating progressive image DVDs that often restore the cadence of the original footage. So film-originated projects (even if transferred and edited at 29.97i) can be made into gorgeous-looking 24p masters. Our care maintaining the best possible encoding quality is the reason our customers return and remain loyal.
SMART BUTTON NAVIGATIONA DVD should always be a joy to use. We try to stick to accepted user conventions and Smart Button Navigation gives a disc a memory of a user's selections which ultimately make our DVDs easier to navigate.
WHAT GOOD ADVICE IS WORTHWhich to include? 5.1 audio tracks, audio commentary tracks, PAL releases, widescreen versions, autoplay video, animated menu looping, subtitles, play all buttons, slide shows, information screens, DVD-9, or DVD-10, progressive video conversion, eDVD, copy protections and region encoding. Each project has unique needs and we take pride in helping steer our customers towards smart decisions and adding value to their discs.
ADVANCED PRODUCTION MADE EASYOur disc mastering service is supported on one end by a high-ended online post facility and a replication-duplication service on the other - We really have to do a better job. Clients find that Modulus DVD projects get completed with fewer phone calls and less hassle.
UPLOADING ASSETSClients can upload menu artwork files to our server. Artwork files can be either ready-to-author menus, or materials for us to design menus. Please read the Menu Design Guide before creating menu art files. Modulus can design still menus as well as motion menus, an intro/build menu, or menu transitions for you. Unless they are really short, video assets are best delivered on a hard drive (as hi-res QT .MOVs or Media Managed FCP projects) or from tape masters.
